business.com sold for $7.5 million in 1999 but it seems its for sale again but the new owners are asking $400 milllion! WOW
I was reading an article tonight about domains for sale when I came across one about business.com!
Back in 1999 the original owners sold it for $7.5 million dollars making it one of the most expensive domain name purchases on the net!
Well it appears its on the auction block again, so break out your check books! The starting bid is $400 million dollars!
Now thats a hefty payout!
But after reading the article further it mentioned that other domain names sold for more or close to it like Sex [dot] com sold for $14 million back in January 2006 and beer.com sold for $7 million.
What do you think? Should a domain name be worth that much?
