How to add fonts to just Adobe Photoshop and not all windows programs

I had this posted before so I thought I would re–add it again for those users using Adobe Photoshop ...who wish to only add specific fonts to the Adobe Photoshop program.

Open My Computer –> C: Local Disk –> Program Files –> Adobe Photoshop and copy the fonts you want into Common FilesAdobeFonts

Hope this helps!

ClamWin is good as our servers use ClamAV as one of the many virus protection programs we use.

You can look at it this way Posty, have virus protection of some kind is better then not having it at all.

Now many will argue which Aniti Virus programs are best, and I personally use Norton Antivirus where others hate it but here are a few of my other picks that I think are decent enough to use...

AVG Anti Virus – http://free.avg.com/ww–en/homepage
Bitdefender – http://www.bitdefender.com/
TrendMicro – http://trendmicro.com

Now there''s 1,000s more but you got to be careful Posty as some themselves carry spyware or even worst trojans...

Maybe other members will post what there using for you to evaluate and you can decide which one you prefer or works best with your system.

How do you install fonts?

Hello Posty,

Are they in a zip file?

I am sure they are so you will need to unzip them to your desktop!

Windows XP and Vista both have built in ZIP utility so you can just double click the font file and then unzip it to your desktop or right to the C:WindowsFonts folder on your hard drive.

Note: your hard drive that windows is installed on may not be C: so you will need to double check. Double click my computer and see what drive letter states Local Drive.

If you need a Zip utility I recommend the following http://www.7–zip.org/
Its easy to use and its free!

If you unzipped them to your desktop simply open the folder with the fonts in it and select all –> then copy.

Now double click my computer –> C: drive or local drive depending on your windows install and the double click the font folder.

Simply right click inside the folder and select past to save the font files to your font folder.

Hope this helps Posty...

Most scanners come with some sort of OCR. In the unlikely event that you do not have one you may need to download one online. An easy one to use is SimpleOCR its free to download. http://simpleocr.com

Now scan the document, with your scanner. Scan and save the file in .gif, .jpeg, .jpg or whatever format you want.

Open that image and go to "File>Save As" and name it (filename).tiff in the "TIFF" format as indicated.

Go to "Start–>Programs–>Microsoft Office Tools–>Microsoft Office Document Imaging"

Go to "File–>Open" and open your scanned document that has been saved in the *.TIFF format.

Go to "Tools–>Send Text to Word." You will get a prompt stating this process will take time, Click OK. Depending on your computer''s speed, this will take anywhere from a few moments to a minute or two depending on the size of your document image.

When the process is done Microsoft Word will start itself and your document will be present and able to be edited and managed as you please..

Hope this helps!
