Warning AdBrite.com is a Scam!

If you're a web site owner you're always looking for ways to create extra revenue to help with the expenses of running your site or hosting your sites.

Well I am here to warn all marketers and webmasters that are considering Adbrite to think otherwise.

We have been with adbrite for almost 2 years; we have several of our sites listed. We normally receive a payment each month, yet back in July of 2007. Payment was never received one.

So I contacted Adbrite to see what had happened with our payment.

Support at Adbrite replied with the following:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Mr. Shawn DesRochers,

Thank you for contacting us, we will need to cancel the check before we can re-issue a new one.

Please except our apologies, and if you have any further questions contact support at Adbrite using our following form.

So we waited and waited, and didn't hear anything. So on August the 15th of 2007 we contacted support at Adbrite again to see if there was any progress.

Again Support at Adbrite replied the following:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello Mr. Shawn DesRochers,

We have cancelled the check and will be re-issuing a new one within the upcoming weeks.

If you fail to receive your payment please contact support at Adbrite using our following contact form.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Best Regards,

So we waited again for Adbrite to issue this check that was supposed to be received in July to still not receive it.

So again we contacted Adbrite but this time demanding they look in to this matter further and resolve this issue in a more timely matter as now its October 9th 2007.

Again Adbrite replied to my email today October 11, 2007 to inform me I was not receiving my payment that I had received it in July and cashed it.

Adbrite even went as far as providing me with a screen shot of the so called processed adbrite check.

This is when Adbrite screwed up royally!

The signature on the check isn't even mine; the bank that the so called Adbrite check was cashed at is in Yorksbank Delhi.

If Adbrite had half a brain they would see the check was made out to me, yet the signature no way resembles Shawn DesRochers and the address is in Canada not Yorksbank Delhi.

The signature that signed this check no way resembles the words Shawn DesRochers at all and anyone in their right mind can see that.

So what is Adbrite trying to prove I think to myself?

I immediately contacted Adbrite to tell them they have made a huge error, and I never received this check, that Adbrite claims I have; I also informed them to pull the other checks cashed by myself to prove the signatures and the whereabouts of the banks are totally different which would prove my case and therefore I couldn't have cashed this Adbrite check.

Yet Adbrite refuses to look into this matter any further and have deemed the case closed.

I write them again for them to even glance at my signature compared to the one on this check and this time I get a very rude email back in return saying this matter was closed and my account had been terminated.

Now we have cashed dozens of checks from Adbrite, and normally we never had any problems. But lately their service has been nothing but garbage.

They even cancelled their Adbrite phone support. You can still call Adbrite but its an automated message informing you to use their contact form and then it hangs up.

What's with that? That's definitely no way to do business.

I have included the screen shot that adbrite has sent me of the so called processed check.

You will notice the words no way resemble Shawn DesRochers and the check was cashed somewhere in the UK and I live in Canada.

Adbrite could have easily corrected this issue but have refused to look in to it any further.

Adbrite has records of the previous checks I have cashed which would show the correct signature and prove I live in Canada yet they refuse to do anything further about this and have closed my account.

My wife and I also did a quick Google search and where not alone, many others are finding out very fast that Adbrite Inc / Adbrite.com are a scam and a farce!

According to a review posted on Amazon, one person racked up over $5,400 in 3 months time from all 18 of her websites and never received payment.

Another discussion of not receiving payment. Adbrite refuses payment.
