BANDWIDTH THEFT IS A CRIME
We recommend all users and visitors read the following to insure they understand
what bandwidth theft is and how to avoid the public embarrassment of linking to
our images. Please stop bandwidth theft by placing a link on your website to
this page.
If you don't understand or know what bandwidth theft is, please continue reading
this document to get a better understanding.
Using Images From Our Gallery
If you wish to use images from our gallery, please upload the images to your own server. Please do not reference them directly from this site also known as hotlinking.
Images that you decide to use on your web site must first be saved to your computer and then uploaded to your server or website and not referenced in your html code to the images located on our server.
Using HTML to call images located on our server from your html documents is considered bandwidth theft. Please do not use our image URLs, please use your own.
To clarify this in case you still don't understand, don't write your html code like the following:
Example: <img src="http://www.invision-graphics.com/images/stop.gif">
Save the image file you wish to use to your own server/website and write your
html code to reference the source or destination of the file by doing the
following.
Example: <img src="images/image_file">
Reference the Source
It is always best to reference the source by providing a link to the web page
that corresponds to the image you wish to show or share with others. Rather then
hotlink to the image and face public embarrassment.
How to save images
To save an image from the gallery, right click and select save as and save it to your own computer.
Do not do the following:
Do not right click on an image and then select properties, just to view the
source and location of the file so you can copy and select our URL address to
place the image into a forum, message board, web site or any other destination
on the web. This is bandwidth theft. You should always choose "Save As" and save
it to your computer. Then either host it on your domain or find an image host
provider that will allow you to upload it to their server to use.
Here is a list of providers that we recommend that offer this service for free, and even provide the HTML or Forum code to use on your own website or message board.

What is Bandwidth?
It is data that is transferred from a web site or server, and every time a user makes
a request for a web page or image; It's calculated into bytes, kilobytes or
megabytes and its calculated in to the allowed consumption a web site owner is
permitted to use or has paid for. Bandwidth is calculated for each and every
file that's hosted on our servers. This includes image, flash files, animation,
downloads, midi/sound files or clipart that is loaded from our web site. It uses
a certain amount of resources and bandwidth. When someone links directly to an
image on someone else's server instead of copying it to their own computer and
then uploading it to their own web site / server it's considered bandwidth
theft. While it may load for the other user on their website, it is the owner of
the original source that has to pay for the extra bandwidth usage as it's still
being loaded from their domain.

our images. We do periodically and purposely change our image's and replace them
with one of the following. If you are using our URLs instead of your own, then

Web Site Monitoring
We monitor our server logs closely to show us the exact pages where our images are being displayed. Web Sites that are stealing our bandwidth will be reported to their hosting company!
Please read their rules, and terms of service very closely. Most web host providers frown upon hotlinking and either suspend or delete users permanently for bandwidth theft.
It is not our goal in life to embarrass you, or
have your site taken down. All that we ask is that you follow the guidelines and
respect other webmasters and the time they put into their sites.
