No broken images. All images must load properly. Linking images from another
website is not permitted and is bandwidth stealing. The only exception is
3rd party image hosting platforms such as (Image shack, Photo bucket etc.)
All images must use proper 'alt' tags. Remember that if you have no alt
tags, your site will fail the W3C validation test which would disqualify
your website. This usually gets overlooked by new webmasters, so it's
important to pay attention to the little details of constructing a web page
properly.
All graphics should be optimized for quick loading and not be too bulky
or large. Keep your graphics and images to a medium size taking into
consideration of users on dialup and slower LAN lines.
Pixilated images or graphics is not a pleasant visual and will definitely
have an impact on your score. We would expect to see nothing more then high
quality graphics, not pixilated, or enormous. If your images are not the
best quality, it's always better not to include any images at all. |
