The evaluation process.
|

All award applications are reviewed in order of received. Applications that
are submitted incomplete, will not be reviewed or qualify. All applicants
that submit an incomplete award application must wait 60 days before they
can re-apply.
All the web sites will be reviewed in a timely matter, however, depending
on the amount of award applications submitted, there could be a delay of 30
days. If you did not hear from us in 5 weeks, or your site is in the
winner's list but you did not receive your award plaque, please contact us
using the following form.

Our first initial visit.
|
|
Once receiving your application one of the evaluators will review your
site to insure it has none of the disqualification guidelines. If your
website doesn't meet the initial criteria, you will be notified by email,
stating the reason. If your website qualifies and passes the first initial
visit, it will go on to be reviewed and scored by the evaluators.
Out of courtesy, if we notice some minor errors during our first initial
visit we will send you an email giving you the opportunity to correct any
issues before scoring and evaluation begins.

Our second initial visit.
|
|
On the second initial visit our evaluators will be taking a more in-depth
look at your website, by checking if your website meets the specific
criteria specified by the award program. The evaluators will be checking
coding and running your site pages through W3C. They will be looking for
obvious errors like meta tags, alt tags on images and sizes of web pages and
speed and performance that will be calculated towards your web site report
card.

The final visit and evaluation.
|
In the final evaluation our evaluators will be completing the scoring
process and web site report card. This final process will include checking
internal links and quality of content and site related topics. If you have
made any changes or alterations between our first and second visit, they
will be taken into consideration.
All applicant are notified after the final process of evaluation with their
results.

Applicants that didn't meet the criteria
|
|
If your website made the first initial visit but did not win the
award, one of the evaluators will email the applicant explaining why they did not win
the "award," and will
include recommendations regarding the applicants website for possible improvements,
changes or alterations that need to be addressed in order to qualify.
All applicants are welcome to
re-apply after a waiting period of 60 days.

Applicants that were disqualified
|
|
If an applicants website was disqualified (based on the list of
guidelines), you may resubmit your application after 90 days.
|
|
Upgrade your score.
|
|
Applicants who wish to receive a better report card to better their website
may do so after 6 months. Starting from the date to when the application was
first submitted. |
